Dr Unni Krishnan
Consultant Cardiologist, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Royal Papworth Hospital

Dr Unni Krishnan is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist (Addenbrooke’s and Royal Papworth Hospitals, Cambridge, UK), specialising in the treatment of coronary artery disease including coronary angioplasty and stenting.

Trained in general and interventional cardiology in Liverpool and Cambridge, in addition to PhD (University of Leicester) and NIHR academic clinical lectureship (University of Cambridge) attracting funding from the British Heart Foundation (BHF), investigating molecular mechanisms underlying coronary atherosclerosis.

Enjoys auxiliary role as Affiliated Assistant Professor, University of Cambridge and education lead for post graduate and undergraduate training in cardiology (School of Clinical Medicine, University of Cambridge).

Gregory Mellor
Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist, Royal Papworth Hospital Cambridge

Dr Gregory Mellor is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist based in Cambridge at the Royal Papworth Hospital. He graduated with his medical degree from the University of Cambridge in 2004 and has practiced as a consultant at Royal Papworth Hospital since 2017.

In 2013, Dr Mellor undertook research in Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome at St George’s, University of London and was awarded a MD (Res) in 2017 for his work. He later completed training in Invasive Electrophysiology and was certified by the European Heart Rhythm Society in 2017.

Dr Mellor has expertise in all areas of general cardiology and treats a wide range of heart rhythm disorders, including catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation and SVT and implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators. Dr Mellor has particular expertise in sports cardiology, including the assessment of athletes with palpitations or collapse and in pre-participation screening of both amateur and professional athletes.

Furthermore, Dr Mellor has expertise in the diagnosis and management of genetic heart conditions with a risk of sudden cardiac arrest.

Dr Yasmin Sultan
Consultant Emergency Medicine, Cambridge University Hospital NHS Trust

Dr Yasmin Sultan is consultant Emergency Medicine at Addenbrookes, with a past life as both Physician and GP. As such she has an interest in Acute Medicine and in particular Acute Cardiology.

She enjoys teaching and is a Section Editor for the RCEM eLearning website, RCEMlearning.

Dr Rajeev Madan
Consultant Emergency Medicine, Cambridge University Hospital NHS Trust

Dr Rajeev Madan is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at the Cambridge University Hospital.  Dr Madan has done MD radiology from India and has expertise in radiology and point of care ultrasound. He is also ultrasound TPD for East of England region.
